Use this template to position your profile and cover photos, then crop out each separately, and save as JPEGs before uploading to Facebook.

This template has been completely redesigned for 2014. It’s now larger than the actual size that is displayed in a profile page.

That’s because you must upload a profile photo that is at least 180 pixels square (or larger) even though the profile image will display at only 160 px in your profile page.

Similarly, you can upload a cover photo that is much larger than the size displayed in your profile and the larger version will display when someone clicks on the cover image.
